NOTAMS

Warnings, Cautions, and Alerts

⚠️  Attention  ⚠️

This "NOTAMs" section is for urgent communications.  Please check it every time you visit ezDPE.com.  There could always be messages here that could apply to you and your practical test.
All TESTS require a minimum 24-hour advanced notice with the faa.
FEES:  Effective February 1st 2026 all tests (except ATP) are $1500.  This price increase matches higher fees that nearly all other Southern California DPE's are charging, plus a premium.  The premium reflects my availability being within two weeks of my acknowledgment of your test request.
IFR and CFII Tests:  This fee increase is also in response to the increased difficulty in conducting IFR and CFII tests in our congested and understaffed airspace.  Due to this, all IFR and CFII tests may occur at night.  YOU MUST BE NIGHT PIC CURRENT!!!
SCHEDULING:  The "Availability" section of this website is renamed SCHEDULE.  The calendar no longer displays my availability.
Anyone who is already booked, confirmed, and on my standby list will be honored the original test fees.
When we book your test date and time, please complete the fillable Applicant Info PDF and send it back to me.  I need this information to submit the FAA Pre-Approval and prep my paperwork for your test.
Private, Instrument, and Commercial Applicants:  Please go to the Downloads page and select the Pretest Checklist packet for the test you will be taking, print it, read it, and carefully complete every section in the lead-up to your test.  There are three cross-country scenarios in each packet.  Select one to plan for the test.

SCHEDULE

Call-When-Ready Booking Policy

The Call-When-Ready Booking Policy ensures you take your Practical Test when you are FULLY READY to take your test.  When you are ready, please reach out (texting is preferable and fastest) to begin the booking process.  You might be testing as soon as 24-48 hours to about 15 days out, so ONLY BOOK WHEN YOU ARE READY!!!

This calendar displays your scheduled test, location, and time.  It does NOT show availability.

The calendar is responsive to your screen size.  The bigger the screen, the more you see.  On a phone, it looks best in landscape (horizontal).  I'll continue to innovate and make improvements on it.
